Mehmet Tangoren, an industry leader with tenure at Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Anthropologie and a guest judge on Project Runway, identified a void in the women's contemporary casual market and recognized that women sacrifice comfort for style.

In 2010 he launched cLaeson to fill the void with the mission to create the ultimate California casual brand that combines trend with comfort.

Working with several mills & wash houses in Los Angeles, Mehmet researched, tested & developed the fabrics and washes for cLaeson. The stitching, detailing and cut of each garment is unique. The fabrics are washed and distressed using special treatments to create a textural feel with a contemporary aesthetic. This is how he established what he calls three core principles:

cLaeson delivers an irresistibly soft touch with a california aesthetic that is on trend, providing the missing pieces in a women's contemporary wardrobe.
